about the gallery

Contemporary jewellery is refreshingly different.  Unlike the jewellery you will find in conventional jewellery shops it is produced in small numbers by an individual craftsman who usually both designs and makes the work.  When you buy a piece it is akin to art collecting, in that you have something that is the product of the skill and imagination of an individual artist.

Jane and her assistants are jewellers themselves and are passionately interested in jewellery, they will be happy to share their enthusiasm and knowledge.  We know that choosing a piece of jewellery takes time, and while we are always available for advice and information, we promise not to pressurise you.

Our jewellery is original, beautiful, well-made and good value.  Whether you are seeking wedding and engagement rings that are distinctively different; a unique gift for a special friend; or treating yourself to a new piece that expresses your own individuality - we have the most exciting range of new jewellery imaginable.

We have extraordinary pieces that are constructed out of anything from feathers to rocks - including diamonds!
Jane buys direct from the makers whom she knows personally, and can often arrange for them to commission pieces for customers who require something special.

The quality of the work of British contemporary jewellers is outstanding, and Jane buys, almost exclusively, jewellery made in this country.  In line with Jane’s policy of promoting and supporting contemporary jewellery in Britain, she offers a young graduate the opportunity to work alongside her (sharing her workshop at the rear of the shop).  This enables them to gain invaluable experience and begin to establish themselves as independent jewellers.

The work of these protégés is displayed in the shop and they are also encouraged to undertake commissions from customers who would like something that we don’t ordinarily stock.
